Steps to Create a Free Facebook QR Code
A Facebook QR code is a type of Quick Response Code that, when scanned, directs users to specific Facebook content, such as a personal profile, public page, specific post, event page, etc. It transforms complex URL links into simple QR codes, making it convenient for users to quickly access the target page using their mobile devices.
Personal Promotion: Individuals can use Facebook QR codes to promote their profiles or specific posts. For example, printing a QR code on business cards allows others to scan and directly access your Facebook profile or latest post.
Business Promotion: Companies and brands can use Facebook QR codes to increase their exposure on social media. For instance, printing QR codes on advertisements, product packaging, flyers, etc., to attract potential customers to follow their Facebook page, participate in events, or view the latest promotions.
Events and Gatherings: Organizers can share event pages through Facebook QR codes, making it easy for participants to get event details and RSVP. Scanning the QR code allows participants to quickly access the event page, view the schedule, location, time, etc.
Education and Training: Educational institutions and training centers can use Facebook QR codes to share course information, live class links, etc. Students and trainees can quickly access relevant content by scanning the QR code.
Before generating a Facebook QR code, you need to decide the specific Facebook content you want users to access after scanning the code. Here are some common types of content:
Personal Profile: If you want others to visit your Facebook profile, you need to get your profile link, which usually contains your username or ID.
Public Page: If you manage a Facebook public page (e.g., company page, brand page), you can generate a QR code directing to that page. Users can scan the code to visit and follow your public page.
Specific Post: You can generate a QR code directing to a specific post, allowing users to directly view a particular update, announcement, or other important information.
Event Page: For organizing events or gatherings, you can generate a QR code directing to the event page, making it easy for participants to get event details and RSVP.
Other Content: This includes photos, videos, groups, etc., where you can generate QR codes directing to specific content.
Here are the methods to obtain links for some common types of content:
Personal Profile Link: Open your Facebook profile and copy the URL from the browser's address bar, e.g., https://www.facebook.com/yourusername
.
Public Page Link: Go to the public page you manage and copy the URL from the browser's address bar, e.g., https://www.facebook.com/yourpagename
.
Specific Post Link: Find the post you want to generate a QR code for, click the three-dot icon in the top right corner of the post, and select "Copy Link," e.g., https://www.facebook.com/yourpagename/posts/1234567890
.
Event Page Link: Go to the event page and copy the URL from the browser's address bar, e.g., https://www.facebook.com/events/1234567890
.
Photo or Video Link: Open the specific photo or video and copy the URL from the browser's address bar.
When copying the link, ensure the link is complete without missing characters or extra spaces. Validate the link by pasting it into the browser to make sure it directs correctly to the target page. Lastly, check the privacy settings of your content. If the content is set to "Only Me" or "Friends Only," external users might not be able to access it.
On the DeepQR homepage, click the "Add Components" button to add the Link component. The Link component can create QR codes for various projects accessed via links, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. Here, you can input the Facebook content link obtained in the previous step.
After clicking the "Done" button, the system will automatically parse the URL, retrieve the webpage title and logo. Once the parsing is successful, click the "Save" button to complete adding the Link component.
In the preview area, you can see the newly added Link component. By default, the Combined Mode is selected, displaying the Facebook page as a card. Users need to click the card after scanning to navigate to the Facebook page. In Combined Mode, you can add multiple different components, such as text or images.
If your requirement is to directly navigate to the Facebook page after scanning, you can toggle the mode to Solo Mode. In this mode, you cannot add other components, but users can directly see the Facebook page after scanning. Choose the display mode that fits your needs.
Below the preview area, click the "Generate QR Code" button to create the QR code. Then click the "Download" button to download the QR code image to your local device.
For users with printing needs, you can set the download format and size of the QR code. It is recommended to choose the SVG format with a size of 1000x1000 to ensure the QR code pattern remains clear when printed in large sizes. SVG is a lossless image format.
Yes, DeepQR offers a Free Plan where any user can create 3 free QR codes using DeepQR.
The free version has some limitations, such as allowing a maximum of 3 components per QR code and a scan limit of 1000 times per QR code. If you do not have a high volume of scan needs, the free version can still help you generate a Facebook QR code.
